My crazy heart art!

wilsond profile image

I run a craft group and this week we recycled old jewellery into displays.I made a crazy heart ,a depiction of AF!

I thought I'd share it here.

Have a good, steady, weekend folks.

We were going away to the Malverns, but Mr has adenovirus, a nasty thing.

Take care all xx

Awwh poor hubby. Makes you feel so rough. I have just had a terrible cold and it really floored me. I felt bit better, then it came back. It’s a mystery to me why that happens because it never used to. I expect you will be nurse for the weekend, but at least the spring sunshine will cheer you up, xx

Springtime colds are the worst. I haven't had a proper bug all this winter (jabbed and antisocial), so when I do get one, it's likely to be a doozy. I hope you get rid of yours.

Cavalierrubie profile image
Cavalierrubie in reply toRedactrice

Thank you. I have, thankfully, been bug free all winter too. When l am fortunate like that, l normally get a real whopper of something. 🤧

That is probably because unless you take adequate supplementation vit D levels are at their lowest in early spring.

Auriculaire profile image
Auriculaire in reply toCavalierrubie

How many covid jabs did you have?

Cavalierrubie profile image
Cavalierrubie in reply toAuriculaire

I have not had any for 12 months. I won’t be having anymore as they make me very sick. Took me months to get over the last one. I take vitamin D.

Research done during the pandemic showed that those who had 3 or more mRNA jabs could experience a change in their immune system so that instead of fighting off infections the body tolerated them -a bit like tolerating allergens - resulting in infections that were hard to shake off. My daughter had 4 jabs in all (the last when she was pregnant) and was complaining when I saw her last week that she takes weeks to shake off any cold or covid infection she gets now.

That’s interesting. I wish l hadn’t had any of them. There is certainly a lot more illness in people than there used to be, even serious illness. I think there is a lot we don’t know and will never know. Thanks.

That's great! Given me an idea. I made a beautiful Christmas tree out of costume jewellery a few years back and have stored up lots of jewels ever since!

That is lovely. My WI has 2 craft groups and I’m in one of them. I’d be in both if I could, but you’re not allowed to join both. We have made earings and bracelets in the past, but we make all sorts of little things.

Fabulous, I am just about to join a general craft group after a long break. Where did you source the jewellery from?

wilsond profile image
wilsond in reply toBuffafly

I will ask the member who brought supplies in. We also brought any bits in as well. Hope you enjoy your group xxx

Scout in charity shops and post on social media, if you're on it, that you're looking for unwanted costume jewellery. Enjoy.

wilsond profile image
wilsond in reply toBuffafly

My friend bought a big box of mixed jewellery, it's huge ,far more than she can ever use! If I knew where you live ,she said she'd be glad to get rid of some 😄 she had to hide some in the garage as her house is already full of craft stuff!

She says she bought it off Etsy,if you do check the amount.

Other than that I expect charity shops or car boot sales might be useful. Xx
