hi all , hope you are all well. Question, has anyone tried triple calm magnesium and can you get magnesium toxicity if it builds up. I took it ages ago and felt quite ill. What’s the correct way to take and should you take calcium with it. I’m thinking of trying it again but am worried. I’ve read it’s good for anxiety and tachycardia.

magnesium
Magnesium supplements are generally always safe to try since only a tiny amount of the mineral can ever be absorbed from the digestive tract. This is so whatever the type: sulphate, oxide, taurate, etc., despite the bloated marketing claims (and prices) of some brands and forms. The only time you could have a problem is if you have a metabolic or other issue such as kidney problems. Any excess of magnesium stays safely in the bowel to be excreted where, if in large excess, it will have a safe and potentially useful laxative effect (Andrew's Liver Salts and Milk of Magnesia are both magnesium based).
Taking extra electrolytes isn't needed for health unless a blood test shows a deficiency. Also, the best absorption is always from natural sources occurring in food. Magnesium, for example, is an abundant element in all vegetables, nuts, pulses and similar from where it is absorbed easily, rapidly and naturally.
