as to comments from before about irregular beats these are singular missed beats lasting a few minutes then back to normal heart rythm so could anyone clarify what these are classed as,are they ectopic or AF. Thank you

singular missed beats
Quite possibly but you should see your GP and get an ECG if you are worried. But most probably nothing to worry about most of us Rhythm souls get them.
Your doctor should be able to put your mind at rest

Sounds like ectopics to me.
Might be ventricular ectopic, might be block. ECG is needed.
ectopic beats, a part of the A/F condition of arrhythmia, check with your GP
I had irregular heartbeats for most of my life, my Cardiologist said they were "regular irregular" heartbeats and he wasn't worried until they became irregular irregular ones!! I'm now in constant AF but to be honest I can't really tell., perhaps I've just got used to the funky rhythm 😁
I've had a few episodes of these recently, usually when feeling a bit bloated. Goes away after about 2 hours.
Is there a link between them and AF? They've never turned into AF for me, and it's quite a different sensation. Also totally different triggers as far as I can tell from the limited number of times each has happened.
Or is it just because I'm sensitive to my heart rate now, and ectopics are quite common for most people?
