where is the best place to buy Magnesium Taurate?

I'm new here, have been having irregular heart beat (Trigeminy) for last 3 years which always came on at night and lasted usually from around midnight till about 7 - 8am when I could stop it by slow jogging for 15 minutes. Always came on after having had heavy late meal around 9pm and then going to bed about 10.30. Had it about twice a year until November 2019 when it morphed into A Fib, had second episode 10 days later, on this occasion I went to A&E where I stayed until midday. Sent home on Bisoprolol 1.25mg daily & Apixaban. I have taken Mag.citrate for the last 2 weeks after reading some of the posts here and watching videos from York Cardiologist (Sanjay Gupta). Unfortunately the Mag.Citrate doesn't work well with my digestive system. I am confused by all the Mag.Taurate that is advertised as some people give very bad reviews about the various suppliers & product and I don't know which one to choose. Could anyone recommend any particular brand?

Someone on here recommended mag taurate manufactured by BioCare, from Amazon, which I purchase. A tad expensive at £15 for 60 capsules (2 a day). Helping I think, so worth it.

My London Naturopath recommended Biocare as a supplier last week and I also use Lamberts who I believe are reputable. I am afraid rightly or wrongly I consider Holland & Barrett as the 'supermarket' for supplements & a place of last resort.

180 capsules £23.52

uk.iherb.com/pr/Cardiovascu...

This one of the brands Sanjay recommended

I prefer capsules to tablets because they dont have calcium as a binder.

This looked like a good buy but its from the US and you have to pay duty and tax of £8.49 on buying the special offer of 2 bottles. Have you had any problem with delivery?

Yes I did notice the UK site ( I'm in Australia ) has different pricing with delivery and some products are totally unavailable to UK. KAL makes a Mag.Taurate tablet but its not available to UK. ( EU regulations ? )

I usually buy 180 capsules delivered for A$44 (£22.70)

I used to buy Cardiovascular Research but according to LabCorp it testes high in arsenic :(

Inorganic arsenic is mostly found from the use of rice hulls in the manufacturing of the binders . ( Rice itself is even higher - but we are talking minute amounts )

I use BioCare and I buy it from Dolphin Fitness Foods, as cheaper than Amazon and very good service.

I get mine from Vitalabo, £9.95/100g, big pills though, found them quite difficult to swallow without something else chewed up in my mouth as a carrier.

I have found that magnesium glycinate suits me very well and does not affect my digestive system adversely. I buy it on line (Your Supplements). I usually take two tablets a day depending on how much magnesium has been in my diet that day. It has helped reduce the ectopics I used to get every night. I could not take magnesium citrate either.

However I also eat my evening meal early and don't eat a large meal. If it has to be eaten later a short walk before bed helps.

I now try to eat before 6pm at the latest as I think that it is the trigger for my 'attacks'. Am having a lot of ectopics now which I feel in my chest and which come on after food and when resting, reading, I am wondering if they are caused by the Bisoprolol as didn't get them untill I started taking that.

I go to a lot of Scottish dancing evenings where food is eaten around 9pm and then second half of dancing takes place, finishing around 11pm or later. I shall have to really limit myself with the food as I know that it has brought on both the Trigeminy and now the A fib later when at home asleep.

I have found this site to be a really good resource and help to me reading others stories and comments, has been very reassuring to find that other people have been down this path where I am now trying to find my way.

I buy it from bio care on amazon. It does help and it doesn’t affect my stomach.

Try online site Igennus. They do an excellent magnesium, combining 3 different compounds including taurate, designed to avoid gut problems and to maximise bioavailability. I experienced no problems at all. The company is small, and is a spin off from research done at Cambridge university, and is based in Cambridge. I highly recommend them.

I get my taurate from bio care as it’s supposed to be the best for heart problems but someone has put on here that you can get it from Holland and Barrett but I’ve just checked with them and they don’t stock taurate just oxide or citrate bio care are very good I order it one day and it’s here the next hope this helps
