Firstly thank you all I am overwhelmed by all your caring posts and helping me through my mini meltdown. I really am going to try and start a fresh today and commence water and thinking of meditaranian diet sounds good and when Andy goes I will look again at all the links again. Didn't feel up to shopping so done a Waitrose shop... they will think there is a mistake with the address with all the healthy food!
I'm seeing my EP next Wednesday so hopefully will get in the list for ablation lucky number 3. The positives are Flec seems to be working after 6 hours and flutter and atrial tach havent raised their ugly head...so all's not bad.

So Good to hear - we can’t do this on our own and we all need support at one time or another and none understand the trials and tribulations of this condition better than the people on this forum.
Watch out for emotional eating cravings and see if you can find an alternative activity or food to replace the sugary foods particularly.
Thank you CD .... I've been feeling rough with cold bug and ticker jitters but still managed to make a lovely tea with lots of carrot and turnip and green veg and I quite enjoyed it which was a shock. Need to cut down the sugar in tea next to half a spoon ...
My current favourites are :- Doctor’s Kitchen - thedoctorskitchen.com/ Asian based cuisine with a European twist and ingredients - delicious, quick and easy and

So pleased your fridge will be groaning with fruit and veg but try not to think of it as a ‘diet’, which might make you feel deprived and a bit of a martyr. Think of it as simply a normal way to eat and the old way was completely abnormal. The crunch of lots of colourful raw vegetables is so satisfying and you can throw that kind of lunch together in minutes, with protein like nuts and chunks of cheese, hummus with good sourdough bread and fruit at the end. You will probably be eating what one member put as “ all the colours of the rainbow” , which I think is a brilliant piece of advice. Your plate can be loaded and you will not feel hungry and your heart will love you for it too.
Good luck with it and I am looking forward to a progress report here.
Thanks xx I also love the rainbow description sounds healthy and clean. I need to do some research on nuts and taste tests. The only ones I know are covered in salt and bloody lovely!! Xx xx
You will find plenty of raw nuts in any supermarket. If you research each kind, you will find they will give you different minerals and vitamins. Vary them each day to get a good mix and buy organic if you possibly can. Seeds are good too and again have different vitamins and minerals eg sunflowers , sesame seeds, linseeds. Your heart particularly needs magnesium, so try to choose magnesium rich nuts/seeds.
Looking forward to news of how you are getting on.
My husband really struggles with his weight too and is always looking for a healthy alternative to some of the foods he likes. Have you tried cauliflower rice as a substitute for rice? Sainsburys do a pack that contains only cauliflower with no additives at all. It really is delicious and you truly wouldn't know you are eating cauliflower!
That sounds interesting... I really don't like cauli but if its in rice form and covered with a tasty sauce it would be much healthier... Thanks I will try that xxcx
I can do gentle walks but I struggle a bit. I need to get out more Im scared to go out alone since AF struck but luckily my other half loves walking so we are going to North Yorkshire at weekend for a little stroll. I just need to move more xxcx
