This is a family I met on my morning walk by the river. It was too cute not to share.
The good thing about being off work is that I can focus on myself and make my health the number 1 priority. I’m loving having the time to go on longer walks and to the swimming pool a couple of times a week (when I’m not in hospital or feeling too debilitated). I’m also loving the thinking time I now have.
Yesterday I saw a dietician who reinforced that I was on the right track - we’ve always had a pretty good diet. The only recommendation she made was to add some fibre to my morning protein shake. My cardiologist suggested losing 5-10 kilos. I’ve lost 6 over the last 4 months. Being on so many drugs does not make things easy that’s for sure but I’m focusing on the positive. My jeans are looser and when my heart isn’t going crazy I’m feeling pretty good.
My ablation has been rebooked for 14 September. Hopefully that will go off without a hitch this time and I can recover then eventually get back to work fitter and thinner than when I left. I am missing the money but at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how much money you have if you don’t have your health.
