Provenge + Docetaxel

any study/trial done to show Provenge and Docetaxel can be done concurrently ?

Tall_Allen any clinical trial to prove that Docetaxel cat be started along with Provenge. My dad’s PSA is increasing - doubling time is one month (4 weeks).

There waas a planned trial that was cancelled when Dendreon was sold. Docetaxel depletes immune response while Provenge amplifies it. At the same time, docetaxel kills cancer cells, so it increases antigen presentation. I suspect a synergy.

If you're in India, why not get APCEDEN?

Tall_Allen We got two Apceden vaccines for dad. However, the PSA is doubling. The MO is adamant on finishing all six vaccines first and then starting chemotherapy for dad. I believe we can’t do that and wait for 2 more months as The disease is surely progressing. The MO is giving us a hard time as there is no study for DCT + Docetaxel or Provenge + docetaxel to be done concurrently. We are really in a fix. Thankfully, my dad is still asymptomatic.
