So far I am 7 months into my Xtandi/BAT experiment and no resistance yet...also I am 10 years out with PCa and have not become castrate resistant...I don't know why but my best guess is God and my supplement protocol...but I don't know which supplements

We're following similar paths. I'm 11 years out, midway through my 7th cycle of BAT after 5 months of Lupron nearly killed me and didn't lower the PSA enough to help. I suspect my supplements are playing a role, but we both suffer from the N=1 problem. There is just no way to be certain.

Good luck to you!

I am starting down the same road -- 2 yrs post surgery pathology Gleason 8 -- 4 of 10 nodes positive current psa holding for 7 months @ .4 taking only Avadart / Metformin (with lots of diarrhea) and supplements curcumin apple peel and grape seed extract - D3 Zyflamend -- what do you guys think about me doing radiation of pelvic nodes and then BAT while on ADT for 6 months during radiation ? I have also though about just taking high dose T and then alternating off of T every month and my T will drop to near nothing for a week or so and then start back on T. I am also trying to stay awau from ADT -- it rarely works for any extended time from what I can tell.

Gus what. Was your original stage, Gleason and Psa? You have certainly done well.

Sorry for the stupid question but what does BAT stand for? Stelle

It is alternating between high testosterone and low testosterone it makes prostate cancer growth slow to its slowest as opposed to just constant high testosterone or constant low.

Constant low was the control group -- prostate cancer grew the fastest -- constant high -- the cancer grew one third as fast -- alternating high and low -- the cancer grew the slowest -- half as fast as control group.
