liver biopsy- what does it mean.

Oncologist doctor ordered the biopsy last year but never really explained it. He only said that the cancer was caused by the prostate cancer. Which was a good sign.

Immunohistochemical stains demonstrate tumor cells are positive for NKX3.1, PSA, TTF-1 and focally for CK20, while negative for CK7. This immunoprofile is most consistent with metastatic poorly differentiated prostatic adenocarcinoma.

I understand the last sentence but all the alphabet soup is clear as mud.

They are just proteins that are produced by and characteristic of prostate cancer cells. It is unimportant what those proteins are, it's just that they had to have come from prostate cancer and not some other kind of cancer.

Poorly differentiated means that it easily evades common therapies, so that they can only be killed off by intense therapy, and will mutate easily to avoid being killed off.
