My husband has been on Nubeqa and has Zoladex shots since November ( 2023 ) . He finished chemo on April 18 ( 2024 ) . He has had many issues even before treatment with getting an erection and low sex drive ( doctor said it was from enlarged prostate ) . He is having a weird thing that has been occurring when he has a hot shower . He has been getting an erection during the shower ? He is wondering how this can happen and why only than .? Does anyone know what this is about ? Any others have this happen ?

I dunno, but if it were me I'd see if applying a hot wet washcloth could bring the same result, or some other heat source -- I guess heat can stimulate blood flow, but whether that's why or not, again, I dunno!
Thanks for all the comments , they made me and my husband laugh anyways . We were just concerned this is not normal ? My husband feels like a rock star now !

Most of us have treatment induced genitalia shrinkage so severe, we effectively have none. And what is left broke down and quit working years ago. It’s just part of the price we pay, the sacrifice we make , for a little bit longer life.
Speaking of “ boners “ for many of is utterly ( pun ) laughable …. Sexual activity of any kind a fond memory from long ago.
Seriously, my wife and I found that when I had any hint of an erection we would get naked and cuddle. Eventually the erections came more frequently, increased in size, and with the help of viagra, they are now common and perfectly serviceable.
I have just started getting a few boners however they are not erections. Although my penis gets hard it points downward instead of up. If I try to lift it with my hand it won’t agree to be lifted and if I try to force it it is painful.
