numb chin syndrome

I seem to have a numb chin syndrome, a good week now. The cause should be a metastasis on my skull, pressing on a nerve and causing the numbness of the chin. Next week I will have a ct of the skull.Anyone more info?

Sensory innervation of the chin is provided by the mandibular division of the fifth cranial nerve (trigeminal n). So a tumor anywhere along its path (from the trigeminal ganglion in the middle cranial fossa to the mandible) could be responsible. By all means, if you haven't told your doctor ordering the imaging, do so, as it may clue the radiologist in to special areas of interest.
