Odd ways of discovering you had PCa

I went to the doctor for a rash on my hands and feet. Doctor gave me a physical, and a battery of blood tests. Couldn't figure out why hands and feet getting raw.

PSA returned as 9, had RALP the next month. Ironically rash disappeared after surgery.

9 months ago, rash came back, my PSA hit 0.2 then 0.4. Started Zytiga and Lupron.

Rash disappeared again!!!

Coincidence?? I cant believe it was.

Be thankful that your unique body signal sends you to a doctor willing to find the source. Early warning is so important.

In my case a tick latched deeply on my scrotum. I went to the walk-in clinic which dealt with that but said my BP was high. (Well, duh, it was kinda stressful to have someone with a sharp instrument down there!) I took them up on their suggestion to see my PC doc (which I had to find.) I knew I had been lax in getting annual checkups. Anyhow, my new PC doc said my BP was OK but took some bloods anyway. The rest is why I am on this group ... aPCa runs in my family bigly, so I was not shocked when I heard I had it too.

I'm 100% sure God sent that tick to me (he actually sent three that day, just to be sure). I ignored an earlier attempt (not a tick but something a year earlier that required ER stitching-up) by God to get my attention but he persisted to my enormous gratitude.
