I eat Salmon once or twice a week. Considering what I've read here, is that something to avoid?. I am 26 months post EBRT. I obtained a rx for androgel for QOL. My latest psa was up to 0.1 after being undetectable. I have discontinued androgel since. Any advice will be much appreciated.

If wild-caught salmonella is out of reach, I would recommend mackerel for Omega-3. No toxins like the farmed salmon. More environmentally friendly too.
You might want to investigate the difference between King mackerel regular mackerel and Spanish mackerel. King mackerel in particular is apparently one of the worst fish for mercury contamination.
Thanks, I didn't know perhaps because as a Northern European I eat the health-touted regular Atlantic mackerel I doubt if anything else is available here. You are absolutely right. A quick search reveals
"And while Atlantic mackerel is low in mercury and okay to eat two or more times a week, King mackerel is a high mercury fish that the FDA recommends avoiding"
"Atlantic and Atka mackerel from Alaska are high in inflammation-fighting omega-3s and low in mercury, but not all mackerel get a thumbs-up. King mackerel, from the Western Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico, has a high mercury content. Zumpano suggests limiting Spanish mackerel as well due to mercury concerns."
About 60 % of my single daily meals have vegetarian protein, most of the remainder, I have learned thanks to you, have regular Atlantic mackerel. I never tire of this delicious, oily, Omega3 rich taste.
I would keep both the salmon (wild caught) and the androgel. And watch it longer to see if you are truly recurrent after EBRT or not. If it goes above 0.2 or 0.25 get a PSMA PET scan to see where it may be for further treatment. Did the EBRT include pelvic LN fields?
The lymph node bearing areas in the pelvis. If cancer has spread there and not beyond, even if you don’t see it yet, then it can be cured by RT up to the level of the aortic bifurcation. If any spread goes higher than that then it is considered to not be curable.
There is a problem that ADT causes bone loss, i.e. osteoporosis. Vitamin D in salmon helps to control this. Other fish are higher in Mercury. I used to eat a lot of salmon but now not so much, tired of it. I like the farm-raised because it is less costly, half the price. I cut into 3-4 oz chunks. Breaded with pepper and paprika, (blackened), pan fried in soy oil, Heart-healthy, with garlic bread and broccoli.
