creatinine increase 3 months after Lynparza

Psa went from 20 to 2--

creatinine went from 1.8 to 2.2

no obstruction or infection found

I'm hoping this due to the know factitious increase in creatinine on lab testing without renal harm-

Opinions welcome please.

What lab test is available to confirm?

A creatinine of 1.8 is elevated by itself. The kidneys may be affected without urinary obstructions or infections.

Olaparib may cause an increase in creatinine

You could discuss if a a 24 hours creatinine clearance test is indicated in your situation.

a creatinine of 1.8 suggests you have lost 50% of normal kidney function. That is not a serious problem as long as the process causing it is no longer present. When you go from 1.8 to 2.2 that a very minor change that could simply reflect dehydration. Alternatively it could reflect kidney damage. Needs follow up.
