Hello brothers. I had my 3 month PSA test today and it went from .24 in june to .256. I live in El Salvador and have been on Bicalutamide with Zoladex (Goserelen) for the past 18 months. I have a Gleason of 9 metastisis in spine, shoulders ribs, etc.. I feel great and exercise for an hour and a half each day. Should Ibe worried? Is my PSA just dancing???

PSA rising after 18 months
Hey Joe.. with APC it’s normal to worry about everything . M not a doctor but I think you should not worry about this minute change. Numbers can fluctuate somewhat . No worry , be happy . Stay the course . Paz to you in El Salvador amigo .. Keep on exercising I think you’re on a good path . Feeling well “IS” winning .. take care ..
If your cancer is metastatic castration sensitive, you should discuss using ADT plus chemo or ADT plus zytiga since they could offer a survival advantage,
That is just a random fluctuation. Only pay attention to the first decimal place. Can you get abiraterone instead of bicalutamide?
Thank you my friend. Have you heard of the medications that I am taking? I see all of you talking about Lupron, Xtandi and others.
No you shouldn't be worried. Your PSA didn't rise. A 0.016 increase isn't considered an increase. Now if your PSA went from .24 to .74, then you might want to investigate why. Don't let the tiny, microscopic increases stress you. It means nothing, worry about what your evening meal is going to be if you must worry, let your PSA dance with Mr. D.
"She gazed at me strange all cunning and wise
I saw the flesh just fall off her bones
The eyes in her skull was burning like coals
Lord, have mercy, fire and brimstone
I was dancing with mistress D."
You made my day. Thanks Fran
My PSA reached a nadir of 0.17 about a year ago. Since then it has bounced around between 0.2 and 0.4. My oncologist said that I shouldn't be concerned until it gets over 1.0.
Called the PSA BOUNCE, unless it gets over 4, just be cool.
Plus your values are probably within the machine noise error.
