upfront chemo not worked what next?

Hubby diagnosed Nov 2021. Mets in spine, shoulder pelvis and lymph nodes. Gleason 8. psa 600. Started immediately on monthly Firmagon injections. psa down to 7.95. Started docetaxel, after 3rd session psa 1.42. After 6 session 8.25. Started Cabazitaxel 3 weeks after finishing docetaxel. Psa rose to 22 after 1 session. After 2 sessions 33. Dr told us not to look at psa as she was treating cancer not a number. Put on morphine to control pain. Had another 2 more sessions. She said no need for psa test or scan until 7 sessions completed. Had appointment on Monday with new Dr in new hospital. He said stop chemo immediately. Had appointment yesterday for bone scan. Cancer has spread to more places in spine, shoulder and pelvis. He has arranged ct scan for 13th then a new appointment with him on 17th. We are so upset and angry that this has happened on top of it getting missed by local Dr who never did a psa test when hubby had his annual blood check to make sure he was ok. Asked for triplet treatment at start of chemo and was told. No we can do it later! New Dr said too late to have it now and that we should of had it. What I want to know is if both chemo’s have failed them will any secondary treatments work or are they now more likely to fail as with the chemo. Both in absolute pieces, cannot stop crying and now think we may only have months and not years together. Hubby was in perfect health until we found out he had stage 4 cancer, lump found on back by golf massage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm sorry he had an incompetent oncologist. Failing chemo does not predict failing anything else. He can get abiraterone or enzalutamide now. Maybe combined with Xofigo and Zometa. 6 months after that, he can get Pluvicto.
