I did the surgery robot-assisted kidney resection a tumor 1.6cm , it took 3 hours and they have

stopped blood to the kidney for 17 minutes, and it was 7 holes on my stomach area.

The operation was good and I stayed for 4 days with the full control.

I will use Fragmin 5000 small injection for 27 days.

A question Should they make a radiation treatment or not.

The cancer tissue they send it to the Labratory and it will take time.

Iam at home now and i will not lift the heavy things, and after the 2 weeks i wiil remove the band

aid.

I hope the good for you.

Your tumor was only 1.6 cm (Stage 1a , limited to the kidney). Surgery is usually curative.

This is from UPTODATE:

"LOCALIZED RENAL CELL CARCINOMA

When patients with RCC present with localized disease, definitive therapy can often be curative.

Definitive treatment — Surgery is curative in the majority of patients with RCC who do not have metastases. Surgery is therefore the preferred treatment for patients with stages I, II, and III disease.

Treatment may require a radical nephrectomy, although a partial nephrectomy to preserve renal parenchyma is preferred for appropriately selected patients. The choice of surgical procedure depends upon the extent of disease, as well as patient-specific factors such as age and comorbidity. Surgery may be carried out through a conventional approach or by a minimally invasive approach such as laparoscopy."
