For those of you taking enzalutamide and/or abiraterone as part of your treatments, here's an article I came across that describes what they do.It states that conventional therapies such as chemotherapy or radiation can be used in conjunction with these to leverage the effects and create a more potent treatment.
very interesting. Thanks for sharing. It seems the previous view that ADT plus newer drugs only weakens cancer cells and allows radiation to kill them is wrong. The ADT and newer drugs can kill cancer cells even without radiation.
Yep I can see why people find these things difficult/confusing. You're not alone. People generally read the abstract and conclusions without reading the main piece.
I'm sure there are many others, but the only trial I could find is NCT01867333 - Enzaltamide with Prostvac. Started in 2013 and final results in January 2023. I can't any interim results so the only good news is that it hasn't been cancelled for futility.
