My loving partner died peacefully in my arms last night. He had a 23 year disagreement with prostate cancer and had a great partnership with SCCA that gave him 18+ years of wonderful symptom free remission. I relished every single minute of our time together.
Thanks to all of the people who posted providing me with valuable insights & treatment information along with sharing personal stories. May you all enjoy your friends and families during your journeys through time.

my deepest heartfelt condolences for the loss of your loving partner. Sounds like he was surrounded with your love and comfort when he passed. I hope your heartbreak mends quickly, you will always carry his memory in your heart.
I'm sorry for your loss. I love the term "disagreement." SCCA is among the best anywhere - what a blessing that he was able to remain symptom free so long and what a blessing for both you that he died in your arms.
Thankfully, you and your husband enjoyed almost two full decades of life after his diagnosis and then to pass on peacefully in your arms at the end is an exceptional way to go. These are things, among the many other facets of your long life together, to be celebrated.
My heart goes out to you. Holding your partner at the time of his passing... what a tender and loving moment. May peace and sweet memories remain. My husband and i have had this disagreement for 5 1/2 years. I hold him every night....
Every time I read this post, I can't bear how it makes me feel sad and helpless (as always when it's about one of us passing away). However, it always makes me smile to read about a "23 years long disagreement with prostate cancer"!
I wish all the newly diagnosed guys, including myself, a long disagreement with PCa.
