Been a couple months since posting. last psa test was 7 then went to 16. Within a month. Ct scan was clear as was bone scan. Restarted zoladex 2 weeks ago.Seen oncologist yesterday and wants to wait a couple weeks and retest psa level then perhaps start zytiga and prednisone.
Thoughts on this?

Hmm not sure why profile doesn’t show!Diagnosed aug/20 with stage 4/ Gleason 9. Psa 160
Lymph node involved. Had 35 treatments of radiation and started zoladex. Psa went down to 0.03. Had last shot in may of 2021. Psa tested in dec , had risen to 7, Jan /22 it had doubled to 16.
Had ct and bone scan feb/22 and all is clear.
Restarted zoladex and oncologist wants to see how that goes and perhaps start zytiga- prednisone.

It is amazing how different treatments work for one but not the other. Some great for one, but horrible for next.
I say we are just one giant experiment, and the differentiation of each human body, along with PCa cell types is enough to be frustrating at times.
The good news is that most of us appear to be living longer with the latest protocols. If we live long enough, a cure will come along.
Additionally, many US Oncologists are finding the PSMA PET Scan ( or Auximin, or Pylarify PET Scans) as better than CT or Bone Scan and a combo of both, and finding the hiding spot causing your PSA rise wher it can be zapped w SBRT or surgically removed to get your PSA back down (some call it whack a ball).
