Yikes , had a Kaiser RN call and tell me that the 2nd Cabazitaxel sch'd for 11/19 will be moved to 11/23. Fingers crossed that I can still get the 2nd one and get those d*mn terrorist PCa cells.
Btw, asymptomatic after the #1 Cabazitaxel a week ago, maybe the fasting for two days helped :-). Helped host a Roaring 20's party with Bonnie and that was a blast.
Most nurses are very tired and burnt out due to overwork and excessive demands on them.Lot of senior Nurses are taking early retirement increasing load of ones who are still working.
Overall Nurses are still the most dutiful and honest as a group. Its hard on patients but their employers should listen to them and be more generous and considerate of their difficulties. Just my opinion based on my observations.
Hey, yes, I completed the six Docetaxel rechallenge in April 2021 and PSA dropped to 2.2 in May, but went from 3.6 to 5.5 in a month with T at 10. Another Axumin scan done on 10/13/21 showed:
PELVIS: There is asymmetric focal increased uptake of radiotracer
within the left prostate gland with an SUV max of 7.8. This is highly
suggestive of local recurrence within the prostate gland. There is a
right pelvic lymph node, series 4 image 242 which is intensely
hyperactive with an SUV max of 11.2. This is compatible with local
recurrence. Finally, there is a nodular focal area of radiotracer
uptake more superiorly in the left pelvis with an SUV max of 14. It
is difficult to determine with certainty of this is due to a lymph
node or more likely related to a confluence of vascular structures
So, Kaiser MO agreed to do Cabazitaxel and maybe add Carboplatin, depending on the PSA.
I am doing good with the rechallenge of Docetaxel. Oncologist has me going for 10 cycles, I will be doing no. 9 next week. So far no side effects at all thanks to your great advice brother ❤️
Take good care and my very best with your new challenge. Keep us updated Bro. Stay safe 😷
Great playlist, but I only saw one Ella. I have not been listening to audio recordings much lately, mainly listening to my piano which I hope to tune today. Last time I tuned it it was damp and then it got dry and almost unlistenable, now it is damp and almost in tune but I am going to do the whole thing instead of touching it up. Am waiting (maybe tomorrow) for a new sound card which will allow me to go all digital and small , might even go bluetooth so I can make it all playable from my notebook. I will be sure to listen to a bunch of Ella and the rest. We have something like 50000 FLAC files ripped from CDs we dumped, making more room for useless stuff.
Looks like the sound card is arriving tomorrow. Looked at the Amazon Ella list and there are a few we do not have. I did not know that Ella did "Over the Rainbow" I have a great interpretation of it recorded by a young Italian guy for Steinway and it is one of my standards to play when I can't sleep. I do not have a Steinway (I hope they are not following this thread) but a 100 year old Knabe concert grand. Will try to get that or the album it is on. I think an Ella festival would be a great test of the new sound card, she has so much going on in her voice it will be a great test. For my taste I think that great female vocals including opera jazz etc and piano are the best test of sound system. For a while it looked like synchronized piano/vocal recordings would be available made by a complex computer/editing process. I voted for a bunch of Ella/Duke but it never happened. If I had another lifetime or two I could probably figure out how to do it. It is not easy but getting easier every day as computers get faster and smart people figure out clever ways to analyze audio. A time machine would be a more direct solution.
My dad liked bagpipe music (The Black Watch) and The Clancy Brothers. All of us kids said o.k. but not for us. Ella is great. Got Xgeva Tuesday and due for Lupron (or Eligard) this Wednesday. Pharmacists Northern California may also go on strike. (Kaiser) Hope you get that infusion as planned. Thanks for your fighting spirit. It helps us all.
