I’m 68 Diagnosed with Stage IIIc Prostate Cancer 11/2018. Gleason 4+5 PSA 14.51. On Lupron 1/2019 to 1/2020. Zitiga from 1/2019 to 5/2019 (discontinued due to high liver numbers). 28 Treatments of Pencil Beam Proton radiation 3/1/2019 to 4/11/2019. After radiation treatments PSA <.03 from 5/2019 till 8/2020.

11/2/2020 .04

1/5/2021 .07

3/26/2021 .09

5/21/2021 .10

7/16/2021 .08

10/15/2021 .11

Still have Prostate

Have I reached post radiation

Nader?

At what point would I restart ADT if PSA continues to rise?

MO wanted to restart 3/2021 at .09.

Urologist and Radiologist both advise waiting till PSA raises to over .5 then perhaps PSMA.

Is it unwise to wait for it to get that high?

The treatment of radiotherapy for your cancer requieres at least 18 months of ADT (better 2 years of ADT plus abiraterone). You could discuss starting ADT asap.

Your PSA is supposed to rise as your testosterone returns. If it reaches 2.0, that is called a biochemical recurrence, so you have a long way to go.

Thanks for the input…I have an appointment with MO Friday to go over test results and talk about future treatment. I am leaning on waiting on ADT …I feel if I restart I will never know if I really need it?

Hi being gleeson 9 myself I would agree with Nalakrats and ADT as I am on xtandi and Zoladex implants and am 0.01 from psa of 41 in just two months although I am led to believe from various that Xtandi can be resisted by the cancer whom find other foodstuffs sugar etc or they make their own testosterone and cause castration resistance - I wish somebody would discover a cure for ALL cancers not just treatments - t cell reprogramming seems to lead the way ! please help us scientific community with a cure - thank you Raoul
