TAKE-HOME MESSAGE

This is a retrospective analysis of the effects of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) on COVID-19 disease severity in patients with prostate cancer. ADT had no impact on death rate, COVID-19 severity, intubation, ICU admission, or need for corticoid treatment, interferon beta, or tocilizumab.

Although COVID-19 is more severe in men, ADT neither provides protection against nor increases the risk of severe COVID-19 in patients with prostate cancer.
