Is “Prostate SPC AG, Symptomatic ng/ml” the test we use for measuring our PSA? I’m a big confused by the terminology. Thanks.

Prostate SPC AG for prostate specific antigen is indeed a strange way of abbreviating PSA.

There were two options for the test. Diagnostic and something else. When I told the nurse I already had APC she seemed to know which test to do.

Probably the other option was the ultrasensitive test for post-prostatectomy and pre-SRT, or it might have been the 'Free PSA" for use with an original diagnosis.

My results were <0.01. I hope that’s still undetectable regardless of which test they did.

My understanding is if your results have < then your PSA is below measurable range of the machine they are using

Is there more than one PSA test you are aware of TA?

Two tests, Standard and ultra-sensitive. Always use the same lab for testing. Some variation in results exists between labs. Correct me on this but I believe .01 is the lower limit of testing for ultra-sensitive.

Perhaps for some machine, others like labcorp ultra sensitive test typically have lower limit levels

Radiation therapy and PSA = <.05ng is an awesome response!

I wouldn't get caught up in the minutiae of it all. I would be celebrating as long as those numbers stay low :)

Best Regards

Some time ago the minimum PSA was .003 Too deep into the noise level to be useful.
