You are doing great. I hope you will be on casodex for years to come. I was on casodex for 5 years. Little in the way of side effects.

Were you on any other ADT medicine while taking Casodex? What caused you to go off Casodex?

Casodex was the only drug I was on for 5 years. Finally my PSA began to rise. At that time I stopped casodex and went on DCA.

I had to look up DCA...I had not ran into information on that treatment before. Did a Dr. prescribe it or are you self medicating?

Thanks for the information.

Be careful where you buy it. Some of the DCA on the market are from the far east and not viable. Do your research be taking it. If you need help contact me.

Hello

Please write why You went to DCA is it a kind of ADT or ...........!

At that time there was a lot of news on the discovery that DCA kills prostate cancer. It was an old drug that was repurposed. But no drug company would touch it because being an old drug they could make any money on it. Plus I was still working at the time and my only option was chemo.

I have been on Casodex since recurrence in October 2014. My PSA is still undetectable with Casodex 50 mg/ day. You may want to consider to reduce dose to 50 mg. Ask your MO
