Have any of you experienced Gastro issues with Docetaxel. My husband feels so bloated, feels like he’s not emptying out all the way, not passing gas. His Oncologist told him try gas x and miralax. He still feels very uncomfortable. Thought If any of you have had this maybe you would have some suggestions. He is so uncomfortable.

When my partner was on chemo I cooked warm custard, mash potatoes, scramble eggs and foods that would not leave any residue or will cause heartburn. Tea and toast with jelly seams to hit the spot when you have N/V. For some reason ( maybe acidity) coffee would trigger vomiting. Some of these starchy, non fiber foods might contribute to constipation, but they are easier to tolerate. If he is taking opiates that can cause constipation and a slow gut, but a magnesium supplement might help, just check with the Onco.
