I know several guys taking the same drugs who had no problem getting the vaccine. There's nothing in CDC guidelines against it. I wonder why he said no? Is your bloodwork adverse?
Generally men with PCa have no problem taking a Covid 19 vaccine. In fact, Lutamides like Bicalutamide reduce the risk of getting Covid19 to some extent.
Pfizer's vaccine is not fully effective against mutant versions of virus. A Professor of Infectious Diseases from New York's Rutgers' University died last week due to a mutant
Coronavirus . He was vaccinated with both doses of Pfizer vaccine only 3 months ago
If you are concerned while travelling to UK, discuss use of Ivermectin tablets 9 to 12 mg every week ..with your Doctors. And of course, mask, handwashing etc is a given.
Now, Ivermectin is being used esp in health care workers in many countries for prevention of covid19
rhenrick, I carry a letter from my oncologist that I can get immunizations despite taking a daily pragdasone. I am on Eligard quarterly, Zytega and prednisone daily now for 9 months. In April I completed the Moderna vaccine before traveling with no side effects.
Get the shots. And then travel as though you didn’t (with care). The low dose prednisone is not immunosuppressive and does not interfere with developing immunity from any of the vaccines. The vaccine clinicians have been trained accordingly. You don’t need any one else’s authorization.
I agree don't make any assumptions once you have it. Act like you don't. So many think means you have nothing to worry about and that us not true. Keep doing all you would w/o it, assuming your wearing a mask, social distancing etc based on CDC recommendations which I will note are a little stricter than WHOS when it comes to exercising outdoors w/o a mask.
Been on Zytiga, prednisone for four years now. I got m Modera shots in late February no side effects at all. My Cancer doctor told me flat out when its available to me get it.
I have gotten the Pfzer vaccine (has least side effects of any of the vaccines) while having been on Zytiga for years. I am fine and had no problem with side effects and I am more free to get out and see family. Go for it!
Geez you're a lucky guy..... a vaccination and you get real wings..... with my vaccination all I got were chicken wings....(hot spicy ones with blue cheese dressing)........The beams are down my basement....
