I know Lynparza comes with some horrible side effects. Have any of you heard of fever being one of them? My husband has developed a fever of 102. I called the on call Doctor he said to give him Tylenol to bring it down if and that if he’s not better by morning to bring him into the office. He also had Pamidronate IV infusion to strengthen his bones due to the Metastasis. I’m wondering if maybe that caused this. 💔💔😩😩. I pray we can gets some answers. Do any of you have any ideas as to what this might be?

His WBC may be low, opening him up to infections.

His wbc is 3.5

Just came off of three months of Lynparza. Had to come off because he felt so lousy. He was pretty much house ridden for the entire three months. Plus it threw him into dementia. It’s a tough drug. It was worse than his initial chemo. Fever was not one of his symptoms, though.

Hello LonnieLue, Is he still in a dementia mode? FYI many of us are having problems with memory loss due to our meds (not speaking about Lynparza).

I searched online for dementia as a side effect of lynparza and couldn't find any link between them.

On the full dose he was in full-blown dementia. They took him off for a week and he went back to normal. Then they put him on a half dose. That caused a lot of cognitive issues but it wasn’t full-blown dementia. Unfortunately the half dose did not work. Everybody’s different on these drugs. We have a friend who took Zytiga and it threw him into dementia. He’s in his 60s and he kept thinking his grandparents were still alive. When Pat was on the full dose of Lynparza he was so bad he couldn’t tell you the day of the week. He couldn’t differentiate between a phone call and a text. His short term memory was nonexistent. It was almost like dealing with an Alzheimer’s patient. He’s been off of it for four days now and his mind is pretty much back now. So at least it does come back quickly once you’re off the meds. But it was scary for us.

Zytiga failed for him after 2 1/2 years. But he did well on it. We are going onto Xtandi now. I know it will have a short shelflife but after that our options are chemo or LU 177 if we can get signed up for that somewhere.

Wow poor Pat went through the wringer....I'm glad to hear his memory is back to normal..I forget names.. so I've learned to call my wife and my girlfriend "Honey" 😈... Yes we all are different.......

I do wish him (and you) the best...
