Looking for specific MO doctor recommendations, considering changing MO, consult first.

Hi, sorry for flooding this list. Looking for recommendations for specific MOs, considering change in MO, consult first. Considering Johns Hopkins, Sloan-Kettering, other hospitals. Long drives okay as we're self-sufficient. Can do telemedicine as well. Husband has CRPC, he "failed" docetaxel and enzalutamide, PSA up, scans show extensive progression in bones, not in organs; little pain right now, still active. Very motivated like the rest of you....Thanks!!!!

Sounds like a perfect job for Xofigo.

MSK has a great MO team, but unfortunately, Michael Morris and Philip Kantoff do not take new patients, I've heard. In NYC, there's Charles Drake at Columbia Presbyterian, William Oh at Mt Sinai, and Scott Tagawa at Weill Cornell.

At Johns Hopkins, you can choose from Emmanuel Antonarakis, Mario Eisenberger, Samuel Denmeade, and Ken Pienta.

Thanks! Any specifics on which of them at Johns Hopkins? Are you familiar with Dr. Autio at MSK? I had also found out Dr. Morris wasn't taking patients.

I think you can feel comfortable with any of them - they all confer with one another.

I'll second Allen's suggestion of Charles Drake at Columbia in NYC. A most excellent, smart and enjoyable to talk to MD - up on all the latest stuff since I believe he now is head of their trials and studies department (among other things.) Last I saw he was accepting patients. He sees patients one day a week..

First of all you are not flooding us. I second Tall_Allen's recommendation for Memorial Sloan Kettering cancer center in New York City (Kimmel center on 68 street in Manhattan)...

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

I concur with TA as I am undergoing aPCA treatment for over 3 months at mskcc and most of the MO’s are top notch. I had looked at Cumc, Weill Cornell which are good too but decided ultimately on mskcc. Let me know what I can do to help.

I have had direct experience with Drs. Wassim Abida at MSK, Samuel Denmeade at JH and Daniel George at Duke. IMO all are excellent. Toss a coin depending upon ur location.
