Diagnosed metastatic prostate adenocarcinoma with neuroendocrine differentiation in June 2019. Only symptom was urinary retention. Stage IV, Gleason score 10. Poorly differentiated carcinoma. 66 yr old. When diagnosed, PSA was 21.
Undergoing ADT hormone therapy once in 3 months...Completed 6 cycles of chemotherapy (docetaxel) with 21 days gap between each cycle. Current PSA is 1.9
Now can't walk properly... feeling that legs r weak...due to pain difficult to sit...Dr suggested spine MRI, waiting for the MRI report.

Your PSA response is very good. A solid 91% down from the initial reading. Thats of course a positive news
Now, the pain...Is it bone pain ? If yes it comes from damage to bones by cancer cells. A simple way of knowing status of bones is by checking Alkaline Phosphatage leve. What is your Alk Phosphatase (ALP) level ?
Further treatment depends on MRI findings....might require Radiation to affected parts.
ALP is a good indicator of overall status of bone metastasis. Its inexpensive test. I dont know why they did not test it. Anyway, lets see what MRI shows tomorrow ?
