I was diagnosed in 2016. Three spots in Prostate. Gleason 7. PSA 6.5, Had High Dose Brachytherapy. PSA now at 0.3 Both Urologist and Oncologist say I don't need a scan or MRI now. They say watching PSA is best option. This concerns me. Would love some feedback.
Thanks,

There is no scan that would tell you anything useful in your situation. You just have to monitor PSA. It took me 4 years to reach my nadir PSA (at 0.1). Anything below 0.5 has an excellent prognosis.
Is there a comprehensive, chronological and accessible post/artical/paper anywhere pertaining to your efforts? That's precisely what I'm looking for...
They will tell you that your PC is not considered a recurrence unless your PSA reaches 2 mg/nl..I had seeds and external radiation which dropped my PSA to .08. After a couple of years it started creeping up, ever so slightly .20,.40,.65, 1.0. So whatever was going on, I could tell it was heading to 2. I believe that when it was about 1.3 I convinced my UCSF oncologist to do another biopsy and MRI. What they found was a definite recurrence Gleason 5+4 and stage 4. Very aggressive. I now had the option of radiation or surgery. Very few surgeons in the country will attempt to remove a prostate after radiation. Dr Peter Carroll at UCSF is one of the few and I would surmise is the best. My radical prostatectomy was done 4 years ago and my PSA is stabilized at .06. Last week I had several extensive test done with no traces of any cancer anywhere.
My point is that if your PSA starts creeping up to tha 2 level get that biopsy done, sooner than later. That, along with the skills of Dr Carroll, saved my life.
The PSA scenario can drive a man crazy. Oh my God I'm gonna die. This can be farthest from the truth.Every 3 months is good enough. i let this almost destroy my life..Suicide was looking pretty good as I had my butt carved out which left me chronically incontinent. I survived Suicidal thoughts & my terrible incontinence .LIve LIFE!.Oh crap we are all going to pass some day. I'm 19 years out with a PSA of 0.27
Let me answer you by saying " Both Urologist and Oncologist say I don't need a scan or MRI now. They say watching PSA is best option". I expect a check in the mail for my services. In US currency that is.....
