I started Firmagon on May 6 and Zytiga-prednisone on June 9.
The important numbers have steadily improved. PSA now down to 4.7 from 47. ALP now down to 63 from a high of 149. Everything else looks great, from the middle-end of the range to the low in comprehensive metabolic tests.
My question is the progress for PSA from 47 to 4.7 an indication there is a chance to get to undetectable? Or should it be closer to 0 after 3 + months of Z and 4 months of Firmagon to think there is a mathematical chance to get to undetectable?
I am "celebrating" the win and not asking for guarantees. I suppose that managing my expectations is a motivation for asking others experience with this combination.
Thanks
Steve

Man,,,,I am in your shoes too. My initial PSA was 830 but after 4 months of ADT (casodex followed by Lupron and Zytiga, PSA came down to 2.3 last week.
I am hoping to enter un detectable club within next 30 days. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Wow! That kind of progress is mathematically incredibe. 99.7% reduction is spectacular. I will send good vibes for you to get to our target of undetectable.
I have a lifetime habit that considers any move forward a beginning not an end. I share all the information I collect with my family. My son convinced me to celebrate progress. I am making progress enjoying the moment but habits are hard to make and hard to break.
I wish we all could see “undetectable “ after primary or even secondary treatment. I haven’t been so lucky. Your response to the abiraterone is very good!
