My two year follow up since surgery is the PSA is still undetectable. I am on metformin and a statin and aspirin and a lot of different phytochemicals.

I use berberine, milk thistle, bitter melon, black cohosh, cinnamon, magnolia, fennel, garcinia cambogia, ginseng, green tea, hops, red clover, worm wood, aloe vera, astaxanthin, cascara sagrada, ashwagandha, ginkgo biloba, resveratrol, black pepper, cayenne pepper, turmeric, ginger, licorice and frankincense. I cycle six at a time for a month then on to the next six. I make a liposome using lecithin and olive oil mixed with the phytochemicals to increase the bioavailability.

That is impressive ...keep up the good work and live well ..

Wow, impressive list. Consider gymnema which I learned about in "How to Starve Your Cancer." Have you ever read Dr. AKM Shamsuddin's book "IP-6 and Inositol"? Also Dr. Vaclav Vetvicka's book "Beta Glucan: Nature's Secret"?

I also use a home made GCP that I make from soy and several kinds of mushrooms. I ferment the mixture first with probiotic bacteria and then with yeast. I read about the benefits of IP-6 and Inositol and of Beta Glucan and figured that I might be getting some of these compounds from my fermented mixture.

No kidding .... that list is so large , you couldn’t miss finding something that helps ... think he left out “ kitchen sink “ and “ alka seltzer “ tho.

Probably make a great grilled meat rub too.

Good for him tho ... I’d eat the fittings off that kitchen sink if I thought it would help.

LOL "fittings"👀

At least save me the sink drain (only if it's stainless steel).

Yayahahaha yayahahaha ewwwwwwww .... you’re a better man than I am buddy. I don’t go anywhere near the “ whatever it is “ in that water trap ... lost a couple “ drain snakes “ in mine .... kinda slurped them in ate them and made a burping noise. Yuck. I probably should stop pouring all that hot bacon grease in there too.

Pouring Bacon grease down the drain? Geezamacripe what a waste. We use it for hot fudge ice cream. Chocolate chip ice cream (two scoops).

Bet it’s delicious.... long as you lay on a hot rock to keep it pumping. If it gets cold outside , you might need to drink a 16oz glass of oven cleaner - degreaser. Iol

"degreaser" I'm taking that already It's called Casodex...

1st one :

I used the wormwood too but I quit because when picking the worms out of it .... they got all gushy and messy not to mention the worm poo too.

2nd one :

I used the wormwood too ... it’s really bitter when rinsing it down in liters of that 18% wormwood 140 proof Czech Absinthe. Yummmmm..... just suck on a sugar cube afterward . Very medicinal after the psychedelic part wears off. I can stay “ cured “ on that for hours.

That list wouldn’t work for me tho ... I always ask my MO / medical team first ... I don’t get enough time with him to say it all. I’d still be reading off the list as they ushered me out the door for the next poor sap. ( ie: the Santa in Christmas Story )

sounds like you have spent a lot of time thinking about it and I like the mushroom part ... just saw they legalized those in Oakland , Cal finally.

Hey the results speak for themselves... right .. I hope GreatJohn sees this ! Good for you.

I try to cycle the phytochemicals to limit toxicity and to prevent the cancer from gaining resistance. I ask my doctor about these compounds and he is okay with it since it is working. I also asked him about if these compounds could mask the PSA with the cancer still growing and he doubts that possibility.

Any of us would be envious of those results ...

Well Miles Davis unquestionably blows cool and smooth with stuff like his Stella. Miles and Coltrane was just a bit ahead of me tho, in the snap your fingers in the poetry coffee shop scene era.

Whom could fail to appreciate stunning music like that. ... got most of his stuff in my collection.

Human Nature tries hard , think I heard them in the elevator at Kaiser last week.

Glad for you and happy that your G score is < 8 (non aggressive PCa). Keep on the good work you are doing great!

My Gleason score is 4+4 tertiary five.

Garbonzeaux profile image

Are you taking metformin and berberine because you are diabetic (or pre-diabetic), or just to fight the PCa?

estoud profile image
estoud

Yes, I am pre-diabetic but I hope these will fight PCa also.

estoud profile image
estoud

No, I just use a blender but will most likely buy an ultrasonic machine soon. The blender makes liposomes but not as efficiently as ultrasonic machine. I also add black pepper to my liposomes to increase bioavailability. Here is a link to the website on making liposomes they use ethyl alcohol as a solvent to improve the process.

Nice! But What was your post op pathology?

estoud profile image
estoud in reply toBreak60

Pathology after surgery was Gleason 8 tertiary 5 stage T3a. The measures I have taken may seem extreme but it is an aggressive cancer.

Break60 profile image
Break60 in reply toestoud

Given your pathology you’re doing great! I was Gleason 9 stage pt3b at RP but stage 4 two years after RP . But I’m doing ok as well. But not taking any supplements.

estoud profile image
estoud in reply toBreak60

Good that you can keep it under control for as long as possible. I will keep doing what I have been in order to stay off of ADT for as long as I can.
