lupron flare up

Hi has anyone experience a flare up two months into lupron injection . Dx 2014 prostatectomy 2015 followed by radiation Gleason 4+5 ; psa 02 for about a year and starting rising again, to 13:, had 8 radiation to a Iymph node and lupron shot for two months, psa came down to 2,1 stop lupron injection because of side effect and tEstosterone went up to 585 and psa went up to 24 I immediately stared back on lupron psa went down to 12, in four weeks had a second injection ,and now psa is up to 15.5 ; my doctor thinks it may be a flare up, my my T level is 17, my question is is it possible to have a flare up after 2 month, with T on castration level:

No- only if T is high. Have you had a scan to look for metastases? It's probably time for some bigger guns.

Thank you for your prompt reply, yes I had a bone scan, in Sep last year, and was completely clear, however, the Axumin pet scan showed a R inguinal lymph node lesion on early stage for metastasis,

So you are early metastatic and early castration resistant - you probably qualify for Zytiga or Xtandi.

Thank you Tall Allen, I will monitor my psa every 2 weeks and if it keep raising I will talk to my oncologist about xtandy or zytiga, I keep you post it, again thank you so much for the response

I would try adding bicalutamide or Zytiga to your ADT treatment..Is your doctor a Urologist or Medical Oncologist ? Your a G-9 and treating it is a whole different ball-game....

He is a medical oncologist, so far he has not offer anything other than lupron injection: so far

Thank you guys I am treated by my oncologist at mount Sinai in south Florida, been doing research since I was diagnosed in 2014. Again thank you for all your prompt replies

Yes I under treatment, but sharing experiences, with on this site and comparing ,on treatments is very helpful!
