I see the question of medical mariguana asked here often. I personally have tried using the "gram per day" method and each time it coincided with a new risING trend in my alk phos initially then the PSA.

Study showed CBD to be benefitial for prostate cancer.

No clinical data whatsoever.

I agree no clinical data but do you see it as detrimental to existing treatments. No one it there right mind stops treatment and I think I have some of the best. If there is a chance it can help in suppository form with no psycho effects I’m interested in trying it. Just don’t want to go to jail. I’m in a state where it is illegal.

I have no idea what the interactions are with standard treatments - and neither does anyone else. No one has any idea of what THC or CBD does for prostate cancer in humans - either pro or con. One would think that Ayurvedic Medicine would have found an interaction if there was one.

Thanks for your thoughts. Probably is snake oil. For my friends sake I hope not.

it is not a clinical study. They say:

CONCLUSIONS AND IMPLICATIONS: These data support the clinical testing of CBD against prostate carcinoma.

Was the clinical trial done?

Perhaps I used the wrong language.

I believed the info to be benefitial to all those considering the use of what is generally described as "medical mariguana"

The message being: Research the non psycho active CBD. Learn the difference between CBD and THC.

Research purity and dosing to a great extent as these are key and are very important.

Make an informed decision based on what you think will work for YOU!

Since there is little or no research into the effects of CBD in combination with other medications, which could be extremely detrimental to your health, I would stay well away.

A recent speaker at Pcri associated Cannabis with seemingly increased pca aggressiveness.

So did Dr. Myers.

Cannabis usually includes both

I started taking CBD oil about a week before my 6th taxotere infusion. Prior to that, the side effectsof chemo were bad and cumulative, and after the 5th infusion, there was bone pain, extreme weakness and a feeling that I was dying of cancer right then and there. My MO told me that those were probably symptoms caused by the chemo, not the cancer.

But after the last chemo treatment (2 weeks ago) while using CBD oil, the nasty side effects were much reduced. Especially bone pain, there was none.

Question is to stop using it or continue, you could argue both ways.

Alot of uninformed readers can not differentiate CBD (from the hemp plant) from THC (from cannibas plant of indica or sativa). My experience is that THC (in high doses) definitely fueled my progression on 2 different occasions.

CBD on the other hand is non psycho active but still has its own unique properties that can be benefitial if taken in the right cases and the proper dose.

More is not better when taking CBD. Start small at a few drops and slowly increase till ya get a good effect then stick with that. Research shows that as the dose increases the benefits begin to decrease. Proper Dosing is the missing link in most cases which is why being under the care of someone whom is "very" knowledgeable and experienced is very necesary in order to achieve good results.

But as Dennis Miller used to say:

"That's just my opinion, I could be wrong"

😉

Again guys:

CBD (from the commercial and legal Hemp plant), generally is extracted from the Hemp plant which is legal in all 50 US states and only has very trace amounts (legal) of THC.

THC (from the (US) Illegal Cannibas plant of Indica (high THC) and Sativa (high CBD) has been associated with actually fueling "Hormone" driven cancers.

THC is the psycho active ingredient associated with "getting high"

THC for medicinal purposes is usually ingested by mouth (varied absorption rates and still psycho active) or suppositories (maximum absorption with little to no psycho active results)

These both generally come in "suspended in oil" form. There is usually a delayed response of 1 hour or longer to reach the bloodstream with a usually longer duration of effects anywhere from 3-8 hours depending on the dose and % of absorption.

First clinical data I've seen... It sounds like they saw a response in breast cancer and glioma patients. They don't mention prostate cancer in the abstract.
