High wbc while on chemo

Fifth chemo finished yesterday. Had neulasta with first three rounds but wbc rose to 45 and only dropped to 18 on day of fourth round.WBC was 25.86 yesterday when he received his fifth round. He is also on casodex and prednisone. Dr ordered blood test yesterday. His WBC was 18 on Dec.5th when we started chemo. tks

Is he doing dexamethsone day before day of and day after chemo Dex caused my wbc to go unusually high during the days I was on dex, which is usually when we have our labs the day of chemo, a bad cold can also cause increase in wbc.
