I'm on Lupron (since May, 2022) and finished my 6th round of chemo (docetaxel) about 7 weeks ago. Got Neulasta the day after each round and counts came back nicely, except after the last (6th). One week after last chemo, my WBC was 3.1. Since then it has been bouncing around between 1.7 and 2.8; yesterday was 2.0
Neutrophils have also been low - yesterday was 1.1
Anyone have issues with WBC taking a long time to come back after chemo? Doesn't seem to bode well for possible future chemo, nor anything that could affect bone marrow (radiation, Pluvicto)?
Thanks.

I didn't quiz him too hard because I'm not yet ready for more treatments, but I think the theory (and perhaps medical evidence) is that the Taxotere has only once chance to be curative. I think Taxotere works only on the tiniest tumors (which may be anywhere in the body), whereas external beam radiation kills all size tumors in the area they radiate.
ron_bucher. I have only had 3 needles in the back of my legs. I missed a fouth when I had a stroke unintenionlly. I next see my radiation oncologist next week. My psa has been .008. I don't know how long it will stay it way.
