My PSA has risen slowly from .2 to 2.8 after RP and IMRT in 2014. A biopsy of a small lung nodule a couple of months ago was positive for PCa so I started Lupron Zytiga and Prednisone 2/6/2018. Today the PSA had dropped to .7 after just one month. That seems like a remarkable result to me. Was it or is that what I should have expected? Any way I am glad to see the ADT is working. I thought I would share the good news.

I start the same tomorrow. This is after 6 infusions of chemo, 6 months of casodex and 3 Lupron shots so far. I'm glad for you. Did you have any other treatment before? How are you handling the side affects if any? I'm kinda nervous about it.
I was just watching the slowly rising PSA after the RP and IMRT. It was only going up about .1 ng a month and never really accelerated so no treatment for 3yrs. I was also worried about the side effects but I have had very few. Fatigue and a little light headiness, and a slight cough that has gotten better. The Prednisone actually seems to have helped with a chronic sinus congestion I have had for ever. I have not had chemo but my guess is the side effects will be a lot less than you have experienced with that. Good luck.
No but after reading about BIRM I was thinking of ordering some for him to try. As long as it does no harm to the Xtandi it might be worth a short experiment.
He was prescribed B12 by his physician nine months ago and coincidentally that is when is PSA started to jump.
After reading on here about the possible bad effect B12 can have on prostate cancer I decided to pull that. Still looking for a possible minimal dose of B12 as the one he was on gave something like 12,000% times the daily recommended requirement.
Well I don’t have many expectations of effectiveness but have wasted money on other things like pomegranate juice, ghost pepper capsules and saw palmetto. Some of those Amazon reviewers claimed quick energy recuperation but there were few pca specific reviews. Do you think there is any reason not to try BIRM while on Xtandi as I don’t want to negate that treatment.

Hi NalakratsWelcome back.
Started 1000 mg daily of Abiratone with prednisone - added to my Eligard shot. Been on Abiratone for 30 days and my PSA went UP from 4.8 to 7.6. Should it start working immediately or take a while?
Thanks
Tom
Thanks - great to have you back. This month is my 18th anniversary fighting this beast.
