Had MRI this past week. Meet with my oncologist on Monday to discuss the results. Latest lab work showed an increase in PSA from .090 to 1.79. Finished 6 rounds of chemo 8 weeks ago. Take daily 50 mg bicalutamide for the last 6 months and 2 Lupron shots. Scheduled for another Lupron on Monday. Unless she decides to go in another direction. My main concern is the rectal pain that also returned. Taking oxycodone for the pain.
Thanks, Ralph

Let's see what the MRI shows. There is always the possibility of GA 68 PSMA at UCLA, their trial it is still going on. Dr. Fendler is one of the leading doctors in this trial.
Hi Ralph, i had rectal pain quite often before being treated. I didnt know what it was but it sure hurt real bad. It would last about an hour or so till the advil kicked in and always happened at night mostly. I was told it was muscle spasms. I havent had it happen since being treated. Im glad of that because i know that was one of the worst pains i ever had. Best of luck seeing the Onc.
Hi Mark. I am going to get radiation when the tumor shrinks away from my rectum hopefully soon. Did they call the proton radiation successfull? One dr. wants imrt another wants proton.
I was not satisfied with my proton treatment, as I had side effects that should not have happened. Side effects include radiation proctitis in rectum with bleeding lesion and back problems with compression fractures of lumbar vertebrae. I can only assume that my treatment plan was not correct.
Dr. Charles "Snuffy" Myers recommended Hampton University Proton Therapy Institute, and as he had kept me alive up to that point, we took his recommendation. In hindsight, I would have been better served by going to University of Florida facility in Jacksonville or a proton facility at a major teaching hospital.
There are results that show highly concentrated cannabis oil can cause cancer cell death in a test tube. As far as I know, and as a true cannabis believer, there has never been a case of cannabis curing cancer. Does it help with the side effects from many of the drugs we must endure to stay alive, yes. It does. But it won't cure you.
