Yes, I posted something 8 months back, but I will mention an Austratian paper that appeared in August:

"Screening for Circulating Tumour Cells ..." [CTC].

The final sentence of the conclusion mentions modified citrus pectin [MCP]:

"CTC screening provided a highly sensitive biomarker for the early detection of cancer, with higher CTC counts being associated with higher risk of malignancy. CTC monitoring over time indicated treatment effectiveness. Nutrients with anti-carcinogenic properties could reduce CTC count, and included curcumin, garlic, green tea, grape seed, modified citrus pectin, and medicinal mushroom extract."

That list seems a bit rash to me, but circulating MCP may well take CTCs out of action by binding to them & thereby preventing them from docking.

The body is quite good at dealing with CTCs. It is thought by some that in order for a CTC to survive the immune system, it must bind to a circulating micro-clot. PCa messes with coagulation factors & such clots can be common. An elevated D-dimer may be due to an active clot breakdown by plasmin, which works painfully slowly. It is prudent to use nattokinase to break them down faster than they are accruing.

MCP & nattokinase may together prevent new metastases from occurring, & this is worthwhile even if extensive mets are present, IMO.

PectaSol has been around for ~20 years. I always assumed that modified citrus pectin meant PectaSol. A second product that seemed to perform better was named Fractionated Citrus Pectin, but wasn't marketed so perished. Those are the only two that have been used in PCa studies. The Now Foods MCP may be better, but we have no studies as yet.

Which brand of MCP is your preference?

I recommend Now foods, since they own the high MCP content.
