Modified Fruit Pectin

I know we have previously discussed Modified Fruit Pectin and its ability to breakdown the Gallactin-3 which is the glue that allows cells to cluster. Question: have any of you found a good product and source to buy it? I bought my Citrus Frit Pectin Powder on Amazon, and it is loaded with sugar, and I now find one of its primary uses is to make gummies🤔. Looking for alternative product. Thanks, Mike

Pectasol on Amazon, also med-pro on Holland (more expensive, not sure if it ships to U.S.) med-pro.org. Pretty expensive, if you go to max dose of 18 a day, about 5$ daily with Pectasol.

The crucial bit of which modified citrus pectin you use seems to be the size of the particles;I suppose that is to allow it to get into the system. I use Pectasol-C from the manufacturer as the one that was used in the trials. I did find another in Austria that met the same particle size quality - name of Sanuvit. It was cheaper. Not all modified pectins are the same.

Sanuvit pectin is described as:

"Very low molecular weight: thanks to the special manufacturing process, the high molecular citrus pectin is crushed into low molecular citrus pectin. This means that it has a very low molecular weight of less than 15,000 dalton and a high bioavailability. No grapefruit."

Surely there is more to it than crushing?

The study by Debra Mohen / Crystal Jackson ( remember when it was published 15 years ago) found Thorne's "fractionated" pectin (now long gone) to be superior to PectaSol:

"Commercially available fractionated pectin powder (FPP) induced apoptosis (approximately 40-fold above non-treated cells) in both cell lines as determined by the Apoptosense assay and activation of caspase-3 and its substrate, poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase."

"Conversely, citrus pectin (CP) and the pH-modified CP, PectaSol, had little or no apoptotic activity."

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/175...

One can't make assumptions regarding alternatives to PectaSol, unfortunately.

The pricing for PectaSol seems somewhat predatory. With FPP, I never felt that I was being ripped-off.

Is this why Learnall eats orange rinds? I guess you would need to eat quite a bit to get the same dose. I will research this a bit Korean but thanks for the info. Seems I am currently at the place you recommend using this.

I was eating my tangerine with peel while I came across your question above. Yes. Orange peels/Tangerine peels/Tangelo peels ..contain anti cancer properties and I do eat at least 2 or 3 oranges with peel every day. I have even started liking the taste.

Take a quick look at some recent studies about citrus peel and PCa....

I used to eat them when I was kid but that was a long time ago. I can't see eating 3 oranges a day but will study more. Thanks for the references above.

Just wondering if the peel retains the health benefits when cooked? Might be more palatable.

LearnAll profile image
LearnAll in reply toNickJoy

Do not know. I prefer raw ,uncooked . If you eat the entire fruit then it does not taste that bitter . Also, I am trying to inculcate Dried Blueberries/Raspberries/Straberries due to Anthocyclidine and anthocyanin in them These chemicals are anti cancer.Amazon has a lot of dried berries and /or powders.

I tend to eat lemon peels in water from my Keurig machine--not very hot. I usually have garlic, ginger, turmeric, etc., mixed in.

Berries are berries...fresh, frozen or dried....The anti cancer properties are in all three kinds... Its for sake of convenience that I eat dried ones.. easier to store ,easier to carry, keep in car, in office table drawer or anywhere. Besides dried ones are less messy. I always carry a small plastic bag of Dried Munakka Grapes for Resveraterol ..red wine also has Resveratrol but it has too many calories and last thing we want is weight gain. Organic sulfur powder (MSM) is icing on the cake as Sulfur and esp sulforaphanes slow PCa growth.

I love them frozen. I whip up some whey protein and frozen fruit in this: smile.amazon.com/Yonanas-90...

I'm about to workout and fill follow it with breakfast and I'm drooling. Blended blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, pineapple, whey protein, flaxseed, sesame seed, oatmeal.

Thats a heck of an anticancer cocktail..RSH. It has Flavonoids polyphenols, anthocyclidines, anthocyanin, bromolain, Omega3 fatty acids and plant proteins... Impressive combo indeed !

Thanks. I have it after working out. I eat it while sitting on a stationary bike. My blood glucose pulse is really low and at times the average is below my average fasting blood glucose.

There is a little speculation that whey is beneficial for PCa (I love the taste and solubility of whey protein and it is the cleanest protein power category in almost every 3rd party test that I have seen).

How about lemon peels?

Lemon/Lime peels have almost the same effect as orange/tangerine/tangelo peel. Better calling them CITRUS peel.

Great. I eat lemon peels almost daily.

Noted. Is there a role in a Galectin 3 blood test in choosing to use this supplement?

In Europe Sanuvit sells at half price compared to available US brands. "Now foods" 453 gr jar can be had for 110+ Euros, when Sanuvit 900 gr jar is circa 100 Euros.

Hey Spyder! Pectasol-c I think is the brand that I Used for 18 months I went into remission right after imrt .Doc said I could drop it then .. It has no sugar . The Nat doc cut me off all sugar and animal proteins . I cheat a bit now ,but I’m 90% true to it still . Getting the petrol-c to dissolve in water and the trying to choke it down was tuff . But It did something…. Good luck .

I have bought / consumed a capsule form - by SWANSON - 600 mg 'modified fruit pectin'which claims to have LOW molecular weight and 82% galacturonic acid. Recommended dose

is ONE a day - OR two for 'MAXimum' benefits.

I combined this supplement with Ursolic acid, trans-resveratrol and Curcumin extract - all superior / top quality to MIMIC a new type of treatment that was under investigation.

There are published results about that combined study - but by itself (pectin) points to something else.

It is part of a cycle that I go thru - rotate some 'off label' supplements - I already had my BCR - almost 2 years ago - today I'm undetectable and have been for 8+ months. I am on an ADT

monotherapy - so it has been successful so far.

NAL has some good points t consider - I just found this version more affordable and liked

the concept of a 'combo' approach that claims superior results.

At the end of the day, I'm a clinical trial of ONE - LOL ......

Been using it for pretty much the 22 years I have been in battle with PCa. I take three heaping teaspoons daily along with Lugols iodine (25 drops) Stevia, 6 grams buffered Vit c powder and one third teaspoon sea salt with almond milk. Slug it down.

Hi Nal

After fighting a brutal battle against pca with starting psa 189.6 and skeleton mets throughout 2021 with adt, chemo and zytiga my psa down to less than 0.006.

I read your theory, so is this the right time to start Pectasol-C? Please share me the dosage and link to buy a dependable product.

Thanking you

My best regards
