I started my chemo treatment with Jevtana (Cabazitaxel) after Taxotere was not able to contain the lymph nodes tumor growth around my bladder or lower my PSA and I was wondering if other guys have gone this route and what were the results. I have already gone through Xtandi, Zytiga etc....
Your thoughts,
Lou

Have not done Javenta yet , though I hear of good results in post docetaxol, I am right behind you LP, after exhausting everything else I am on my 10th docetaxol.
Hi Dan, I only got to 5 treatments with docetaxol because the chemo was not controlling tumor growth or PSA. Oncologist ordered a biopsy of the affected lymph nodes and it turns out my cancer had mutated. Tissue sample was sent for genome testing but in the mean time he put me on Jevtana. Should know results in another two weeks. I am also very interested in CAR T therapy. I know it is fairly new but shows potential.
I will have scans in 2 weeks to see how taxotere is controlling my tumor growth, psa was actually back to a low while on chemo, this week after a couple risesafter a fall in psa. I felt sick last cycle, but now feeling great even 3 days out. I will be interested in knowing your experience with Javenta, as it seemed I am destined for it next. I will look into Car t therapy.
Getting a biopsy to check for mutations is an excellent decision, one that many never make. And in the meantime, you are taking the treatment path most likely to succeed. Good moves.
