Sorry I didn’t explain myself when I first mentioned small groups (supporter groups). I was thinking we could create small groups to support each other through our walk. These groups could discuss current issues of a person or general topics we’d like to ask others how they handle. Of course, I’m totally open to suggestions, but just wanted to throw this out there based upon a few other comments I’ve seen on the page. I think, and this is purely my thought, that a smaller group would allow us to be more honest with others as we get to know each other better. Does this help? Anyone else interested?

I would be up to seeing what may happen.
I’m actually fine with whole group, since the anonymity allows me to be honest. I usually get the same few people responding anyway.
It's interesting that different organizations use different mindsets.
CHADD affiliate groups are based on geographic location.
ADDA support groups are based on very specific commonalities (e.g. Young Adults, Black, Asian, South Asian, Queer & non-binary, Parents, Men, Entrepreneurs).
But what I like about this forum is that it's much more open, the interaction is so organic. It doesn't seem like we sort ourselves based on identity characteristics...the forum is open to everyone (well, except that communicating in English is a common factor...I don't know any other languages well enough to carry on a conversation).

For meeting in real time, I think that the real limitation would be Time itself. When can you meet?
I've seen one community that hosted a 24x7 "drop-in" style video channel, and that's the ADHD reWired "Adult Study Hall" (ASH). They also had specific purpose meetups that were scheduled, like a "Clean with me" hour, or a particular topic of discussion like finances.
Since CHADD has location based affiliates, I sent them a message last night with the idea of creating a virtual affiliate based on this forum community.
I don't know what they will think of that, but what do you all think about the idea? I do like the relative anonymity of this forum, and I think that others here do, too. So, I think it would be a deal breaker to ask people to give that up.
(Though I've given it some thought, and I would be willing to give up my own anonymity, if needed, in order to volunteer to help coordinate an official CHADD affiliate group. And I would be willing to volunteer to do so.)
