New to this platform. How does this whole thing work? Looking for CHADD video support groups for adult ADHD.

How does this whole thing work? What is HealthUnocked? I paid to join CHADD Member so I could access online ADHD Support Groups. After paying i was directed here to Health Unlocked. I have no idea what it is. Is it an outsourced platform for communities & groups, and CHADD is subscribed to it as a client? I was under the impression CHADD had online video support groups. Is there just ONE "CHADD Adult ADHD Support Group throughout this whole healthunlocked website? Or are there subcategories? Is CHADD's whole support offering just threads and texts and written comm communities"?

I will go back to chadd.org to see if they answer any of these questions. Any help appreciated.

Pollyanna, thank you so much. That's what I've been looking for, video support groups. I took quick look and it's affordable too. May I ask if you have participated yet in a zoom-style support group session? Is it facilitated or run by the attendees themselves.

I was diagnosed 3 years ago also quite late in life. But I've learned a tremendous amount these past 3 years. I was not clear if you were saying you just got a diagnosis 2 months ago, or you tried this "HealthUnlocked" service 2 mos ago, or you just found add.org 2 months ago? Pretty shocking to me that CHADD.org, whose website and resources are quite amazing, would provide an ADHD online resource that has no Intro, no "About HealthUnlocked" or even "About CHADD Online Support" primer. It's so shocking to me that I feel I must have failed to read something on Chadd.org.

Don't feel that you've missed anything! I remember being a bit confused too when looking at CHADD stuff. I'm on HealthUnlocked and didn't pay anything to CHADD, so, you definitely don't have to be a CHADD member to use resource.

Honestly, I feel the same way it is like this is a whole separate platform from within Chadd. Not a lot of people nearby on here either.

Talk about CHADD diluting their brand! No different than in mid 2000's when every brand name news outlet in America (CNN, FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS and all down the line) decided to outsource their commenting sections to FACEBOOK, that mendacious evil company, vs maintaining their individual brand reputations.

... So that's what we have here: A worldwide highly reputable org like CHADD dedicated to ADHD education & intervention — outsourcing their entire brand reputation and content reliability to an alleged "Health Facebook" business — who lease out their one-size-fits-all user-to-user threads where there is no quality control, no content moderation, zero expertise. It's really shameful; and dangerous too.
