Illegible writing

I have always had Illegible handwriting since childhood. There were numerous attempts made to improve that, but I couldn't get myself to write legibly consistently. My teachers used to make me feel bad about my writing. I always felt bad, when I had to compare notes with my friends. Diagnised with ADHD at 29. I still maintain my professional notes with bad handwriting. Is it something to do with ADHD?

Same here with ADHD and sloppy, illegible handwriting. I haven't been able to find an article correlating the two...anyone knows?

hi

I also have bad penmanship when I write : however, I didnt develop it until after I was diagnosed with ADHD and Bipolar I disorder in my early 20's . To resolve this problem, I purchased a cross fountain pen last year and I think the weight of the fountain pen really improve my handwriting. Also, try writing slower which also seems to improve my handwriting as well. I always strengthen my hands by squeezing a rubber ball as well.some

Professionally, i would suggest you see an occupational therapist as they are well suited to improve hand n eye coordination as well as clients with poor handwriting.

Good luck,
