Is it possible that side effects from Focalin are negating the effects of Clonazepam?

I am prescribed Focalin and Clonazepam(Seizures & Anxiety). The Clonazepam has worked wonders for my sleep habits and I admit that it does help calm me down in the afternoon. The issue is that I am extremely irritable throughout the day even when taking the Clonazepam. I started keeping a journal and I have noticed that the Clonazepam doesn't seem to work when I take it at the same time as my Focalin (In the AM). I've even skipped a day of Focalin and only took the Clonazepam and while I still had anxiety that day, it was much more manageable. Is it possible that I am having side effects from the Focalin that are negating the calming effect of the Clonazepam?

I plan on making an appointment and showing my Dr. my journal and asking to try a new stimulant this week. I just think posting on a forum and possibly hearing others insight will help for some reason.

It is possible it is side effects. It is also possible taking it at a different time could reduce or eliminate the problems you are having. Talk to your pharmacist. Pharmacists know much more about medications than doctors do..

Vynance made me extremely irritable. I agree pharmacists are a wonderful resource. There are so many different options, that medication might not be a good fit.
