Adderal xr side effects

After not taking anything for around 7 years I decided to try Adderall again. Im on my second day of taking it and I’ve been feeling bursts of somewhat intense euphoria (ive never noticed or felt this before on the medication). I’m not exactly worried about this side effect but it does get annoying when it lasts most of the day. So does anyone here have similar experiences?

Some patients experience it in the beginning. It wears off the longer you take the medication.

Interesting g side effect… the feelings I get more with my meds is more like “ok, let’s get productive now”. It’s kind of exciting but I personally wouldn’t call it euphoria. Could you describe what your thoughts are that make you think euphori?

Many people experience euphoria from stimulant medications, though not all of us do. I didn't, when I was prescribed Adderall XR. I felt better, more hopeful, but definitely not what I would call "euphoric". (I don't feel like I was missing anything from the experience, because I was definitely getting the help I needed from the meds, just not quite enough...so my doctor changed my meds.)

It might be the initial response, which would fade after days, weeks, maybe months. Check with your doctor, because it might be an indication that you need a lower initial dosage, and need do increase to a therapeutic level gradually.

(This method of starting low and stepping up gradually is known as "titration". It should only be done per doctor's orders, so again, check with your doctor.)

Yes, it'll fade with time ⏲️ 🙌
