Rock Bottom and Lost

I'm new here so sorry if this is the wrong spot. After years of persistent effort, I was finally going to get in contact with a psychologist about receiving adhd treatment. Right then I got a text from my therapist that I've been dropped by my insurance and my last month's sessions are uncovered. As I am now I can't even hold down a part time job and am now in medical debt. I have no idea where to go from here. Does anyone know of any free or cheap recourses to get ADHD treatment or some kind of mentoring/coaching?

Hi Piety U have come to the right place. Welcome. I’m Shnookie. This a warm and inviting place. U can contact CHADD. This an organization that deals with ADD and ADHD issues. They have free webinars, publications, etc. Perhaps they can recommend a therapist for U at a reasonable rate. I’m here 4 U. Hugs 🤗 S

"free or cheap recourses to get ADHD treatment " Does your county or area have a behavioral or mental health department? Keep moving through this difficult time. Get new health insurance and contact them. If you can contact your old therapist and ask for recommendations to continue treatment, contact that person.

I hope things will be getting better soon.

Why do you think you keep losing your job?

Also look at ADDA. add.org $5/month or $50/year. Huge help and library access both written and digital. Virtual Meetings with groups, led by professionals and ADHD coaches, peer support. They have annual conference coming up in November. I found them two weeks ago and my husband and I were dying in the vine for help. I am nonADHD spouse. I found,so far very helpful and insightful help and comradeship. Please look at their site.

If you can get health insurance through Medicaid, you should be able to find some counselors that take it who know about ADHD. Once you have state insurance, I would recommend that you go to psychology today website which could help you find therapists by specialty location and insurance accepted.
