Therapy?

I was diagnosed with ADHD a few months ago and am currently only seeing a psychiatrist once a month to get medication. Although the medication is helping my attention to an extent, I haven't seen much improvement in other areas.

I'm wondering if therapy helps and if so what kind of therapy? I'm hesitant to go because therapy is really expensive in the city I'm in and also bc I don't struggle with depression and anxiety disorders anymore.
