Getting through it together!

Good evening everyone!

Just a reminder to enjoy the little things in life. I went fishing this morning and didn’t catch anything but saw so many beautiful bat rays. It was maybe 7:30am and the sun had just hit the ocean water. I watched the rays as they slowly moved back into the ocean abyss .

My grandfather passed away in May and unfortunately the day before my birthday which was crippling and I’m still processing his death. I may never fully process it as he and I had such a special bond. As the rays drifted into the ocean abyss It reminded me of my grandfather. It brought tears to my eyes when I saw the bat rays. He loved fishing and I had initially gone because I was missing him. I don’t really consider myself a spiritual person but I needed a sign of hope and happiness during all this covid stuff and asked for one only moments before. It was so beautiful and I knew it was him tipping his hat telling me I’ll get through this and be just fine. It’s been really hitting me hard the past two- three weeks and it felt so good.

Anyway enough to all me!

Take a moment this week and look around you. Appreciate the things you have, the people around you, the places you’ve seen. She’d a tear for any that you’ve lost. Remember you’re a human and deserve a moment to just be. Take a deep breath and soak it all up, the good, bad, the amazing, and the unknown. I know I’m an amazing person and so are each one of you.

Also got my Christmas tree today! Yes I know it’s not even December yet! 🤪 But it made me so happy and excited to get it.

How are you doing? Any topics you think I should write about, any questions you wanna ask me? I’m not all together or perfect but I’m always willing and wanting to help people grow and learn!

Take care!

- Michael

What a lovely story of connection and please accept my sympathy over your loss. I lost my father in May as well. It sounds like you are rounding the curve. Finding purpose even if it is simple fishing is a great place to be. I had a similar story out on the ocean in November, where there were many Northern Gannets. They fly over the ocean when they are migrating and not nesting. My dad loved to ocean fish and was a bird watcher, and seeing those magnificent birds diving into the ocean to fish made me think of him. Thanks for generously sharing your story of savoring and simply being in the moment. May you have many moments of generosity of spirit in the coming months. Be well!
